The PRO-SOURCE 05183 is a single-spiral twisted wire bristle brush designed for cleaning, deburring, and surface preparation in tight bores, tubes, and cavities. The brush head measures 0.75 inches in length with a 7/32-inch diameter, and the overall assembly extends 4 inches for reach into confined areas. Stainless steel fill wire at 0.003 inches in diameter provides firm yet controlled scrubbing action without excessive material removal. The 0.062-inch stainless steel shank is sized for use in standard rotary tools, drill chucks, and flex-shaft handpieces commonly used by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters during maintenance and installation work.
This brush is suited for cleaning threaded ports, pipe ends, valve seats, and small-diameter passages in both residential and light commercial mechanical systems. It is a practical choice for removing oxidation, scale, flux residue, and light debris from copper, brass, and steel fittings prior to soldering, brazing, or reassembly. The single-spiral configuration delivers consistent contact across the bore wall without clogging under normal use conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style utility brush for use with standard rotary tools, drill chucks, and flex-shaft handpieces accepting a 0.062-inch round shank.
This brush is typically used by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters during prep and maintenance tasks. Secure the shank firmly in the tool chuck before operation and confirm the chuck is rated for the intended RPM. Wear appropriate eye protection when operating any rotary wire brush. Inspect the bristle fill before each use and discard if wires show significant splaying or breakage.
