The PRO-SOURCE 05098 is a stainless steel twisted wire bristle brush designed for cleaning, deburring, and surface preparation in tight bores, tubes, and passages. The brush features a single-spiral fill pattern with a 2.5-inch brush length and an 11/16-inch (0.6875-inch) brush diameter. The wire filaments measure 0.008 inches in diameter, providing firm scrubbing action without excessive abrasion. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and holds up in wet, chemical, or high-temperature environments. The 0.142-inch stainless steel shank mounts to standard rotary tools, drills, or flex-shaft machines. The 9-inch overall length gives the user reach into deep bores and manifolds. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and machinists commonly use this style of brush for port cleaning, heat exchanger tube prep, and threaded fitting maintenance.
This brush is suited for light to medium-duty cleaning applications in residential and commercial settings. Typical uses include cleaning burner orifices, valve ports, tube interiors, and small-diameter bores where lint-free brushes or swabs cannot reach. The stainless steel fill material makes it appropriate for use on copper, brass, steel, and stainless fittings without contamination risk from carbon steel bristles. It is sold individually and fits standard rotary tool chucks that accept a 0.142-inch shank.
Designed as a standard twisted wire bristle brush for use with rotary tools, portable drills, and flex-shaft machines that accept a 0.142-inch round shank. Suitable for cleaning copper, brass, steel, and stainless steel fittings and tubes.
Secure the shank fully into the tool chuck before operating and verify the chuck is tightened to prevent slippage. Wear appropriate eye protection when using any rotary wire brush. Inspect bristles for fatigue or splaying before each use and replace the brush if filaments are bent or broken. Follow applicable shop safety guidelines and manufacturer speed ratings for the rotary tool being used.
