The PRO-SAFE PS-4872DXBFM is a two-layer rubber anti-static floor mat designed to dissipate electrostatic discharge (ESD) in work environments where sensitive electronic components or equipment are handled. Measuring 72 inches long by 48 inches wide and 0.14 inches thick, this mat provides a broad work surface suited for benches, assembly stations, or service bays. Constructed entirely of rubber for both the top layer and base, it ships with a 10 mm snap connector used to ground the mat through a common wrist strap or ground cord. Electricians, electronics technicians, and HVAC controls technicians typically install this type of mat as a static-safe work surface.
This mat is suited for light industrial, commercial service, and shop environments where electrostatic discharge poses a risk to electronic assemblies, control boards, capacitors, or other ESD-sensitive components. The 6-foot by 4-foot footprint accommodates a full-size workbench or floor station. The included 10 mm snap fitting allows straightforward integration with standard ESD grounding cords and wrist strap systems. The blue color provides a clean, visible work surface that makes small parts and hardware easy to spot during disassembly and reassembly tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style ESD floor mat for use with standard 10 mm snap grounding accessories in any static-controlled workstation or service bench application.
Install on a clean, flat floor or bench surface and connect the 10 mm snap fitting to a properly grounded ESD cord before use. Verify the ground path continuity with an ESD wrist strap tester or surface resistance meter prior to handling sensitive components. Do not use this mat as a substitute for a complete ESD protection program; always confirm the full ground loop is intact. Clean the mat surface with a damp cloth and avoid petroleum-based solvents that can degrade the rubber layers.
