The PRIME LINE PRODUCTS P 7602 is a black vinyl screen spline supplied on a 780-foot roll weighing 15 pounds. At 0.230 inches (15/64 inches) in diameter, this round hollow-core spline features a serrated outer surface that grips both aluminum and fiberglass screening securely within a screen frame channel. It is manufactured from top-quality vinyl for flexibility and long-term resistance to weathering. Window and door screen installers, glaziers, and general contractors use this product for new screen builds and re-screening repairs on residential and light-commercial frames.
This spline is suited for aluminum frame windows, door screens, patio enclosure panels, and fiberglass mesh screen applications wherever a 0.230-inch channel groove is specified. The 780-foot roll length makes it practical for high-volume re-screening work, reducing roll changes on large jobs. The serrated profile locks the mesh in place without adhesive, relying on mechanical grip for a clean, durable finish.
Designed for use with aluminum and fiberglass window and door screen frames requiring a 0.230-inch (15/64-inch) spline groove. Suitable for both new screen installation and re-screening replacement applications.
A screen rolling tool (spline roller) with a concave wheel is the standard tool for seating this spline into the frame groove. Stretch the screening taut across the frame before rolling the spline in, working one side at a time to prevent buckling. Trim excess spline flush at the corner with a utility knife. No power tools or fasteners are required, but sharp utility knife blades reduce tearing of the vinyl during trimming.
