The PREMISE WIRING SS82 is a stamped 2-gang stainless steel wallplate designed to cover two duplex receptacle openings in standard electrical installations. Constructed from 302/304 stainless steel at 0.035 inches thick, it delivers strong corrosion resistance in environments where standard steel or plastic plates would fail. The horizontal brushed finish is oriented vertically for a clean, professional appearance. It ships with a 302/304 stainless steel slotted head screw for mounting and includes a protective plastic film applied at the factory to prevent surface scratches during installation. This plate is UL and CSA listed and carries RoHS compliance, making it suitable for marine and other highly corrosive environments where non-magnetic hardware is required.
The SS82 is rated for marine applications and any installation environment prone to moisture, salt air, chemicals, or corrosion. Its non-magnetic stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for sensitive electrical areas where ferromagnetic materials are undesirable. The standard designated size fits a 2-gang electrical box opening and accommodates two duplex receptacles side by side. Licensed electricians typically specify this plate for dockside panels, marine vessels, commercial food service areas, outdoor enclosures, and industrial spaces with elevated corrosion exposure.
Designed as a standard 2-gang replacement or new-installation wallplate for duplex receptacle configurations. Fits standard 2-gang electrical boxes. No specific device or panel model compatibility was stated in the product data.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. Turn off circuit power at the breaker before removing any existing wallplate or working near receptacle terminals. Align the plate over the 2-gang box opening, seat the receptacles through the designated cutouts, and fasten with the included slotted head screw. Remove the protective plastic film only after installation is complete to preserve the brushed finish.
