The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 7466392 is a double-cut carbide abrasive bur with a cylinder-with-pilot head profile, designed for aggressive material removal and finishing in metalworking applications. The head is manufactured from uncoated carbide, delivering hardness and wear resistance suited for high-demand grinding and deburring tasks. It runs at up to 35,000 RPM, with a 1/4 inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/4 inch length of cut. Overall length is 3 inches. The 1/4 inch shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tools used by machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators working in industrial and trade shop environments.
This bur is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and other hard materials. The cylinder-with-pilot geometry allows controlled entry into drilled holes or bores, making it well suited for deburring drilled passages, porting, and internal chamfering. The double-cut tooth pattern generates smaller chips and a smoother surface finish compared to single-cut styles, which helps reduce chatter and operator fatigue during extended use. It is packaged individually and is appropriate for both production and maintenance-repair settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use carbide bur for die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch shank collet. Industry specification PDM-10DC applies to this cylinder-with-pilot form factor.
Installation is performed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, or maintenance professionals using a die grinder or rotary tool with a 1/4 inch collet. Ensure the tool is fully powered down and the collet nut is tightened securely before operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and work gloves when operating rotary abrasive tooling. Do not exceed the rated maximum speed of 35,000 RPM and inspect the bur for chips or cracks before each use.
