The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 6002732 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in a wide range of materials. Built from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it features a 118-degree standard point angle and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust during entry. The 3/8-inch diameter straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. With a 2-flute spiral flute design and a flute-to-diameter ratio of 7xD, it provides efficient chip evacuation during through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance machinists working with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials will find this bit suited for production and service work alike.
This bit is appropriate for drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, N, and H. The D33F series spans a range of jobber-length sizes from 0.3500 to 0.4000 decimal inch, making this 0.3750-inch bit a standard selection within that family. It is suited for use in both handheld drill presses and bench-mounted drill press setups in shop, field, and maintenance environments. Right-hand cut direction is standard. Coolant-through capability is not included in this design.
Part of the D33F-D33W-D33L-D33M series, designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit for use in standard 3/8-inch drill chucks across drilling applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists, maintenance technicians, or tradespeople familiar with drill press or handheld drilling operations. Ensure the drill chuck is fully tightened and the workpiece is securely clamped before operation. Power down the drill completely before changing or inspecting the bit. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of 2-3/4 inches without retracting to clear chips.
