The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 6000750 is a cobalt high-speed steel jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It measures 6.10 mm (0.2402 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 3-31/32 inches and a flute length of 2-31/64 inches. The 135-degree split point reduces walking and requires no center punch on most surfaces. A straw oxide finish provides mild lubricity and corrosion resistance. The web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduces thrust load and improves chip evacuation. This bit is intended for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, and metalworking trades on steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and high-temp alloys.
The 6000750 is built to DIN 338 and ANSI standards, placing it in the heavy-duty grade category for general-purpose drilling applications. It is suited for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills where a straight-shank, right-hand-cut bit is required. Primary workpiece material classifications include steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys (material codes P, M, K, N, S). The 10xD flute-to-diameter ratio delivers adequate chip clearance for standard-depth through-holes in production and maintenance environments.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill suitable for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and superalloys. Compatible with any drill press or power tool accepting a straight cylindrical shank of 6.10 mm (0.2402 inches).
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians in compliance with applicable shop safety and machine guarding standards. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Power down or de-energize the machine before changing bits. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain hole quality.
