The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 5997145 is a taper length drill bit from the QC91P series, designed for demanding hole-making applications across a wide range of metals and alloys. Built from high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 135-degree split point and a parabolic flute geometry. The parabolic flute design improves chip evacuation and reduces cutting resistance, making it well suited for deep-hole drilling. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust at entry and supports self-centering starts without a center punch on many workpiece materials. Overall length is 3.75 inches with a 2-inch flute length, and the decimal diameter is 0.0760 inches corresponding to wire gauge size 48.
