The PRECISION BRAND 20210 is a soft-annealed 321 stainless steel tool wrap supplied in a 100-foot roll, 24 inches wide and 0.002 inches thick. Tool wrap in this grade is used to encase parts, tooling, and workpieces during heat-treat cycles, protecting surfaces from oxidation and scale formation inside furnaces and ovens. The soft-annealed condition makes the material easy to cut with snips, fold around irregular geometries, and crease-seal along the edges without cracking. At 17.75 pounds per roll, it is a full-weight production roll suited for shop and job-site use by heat-treat technicians and toolroom machinists.
This tool wrap is appropriate for high-temperature heat-treatment applications in both production and job-shop environments. It is commonly used when hardening tool steels, stainless components, and other alloys that require an oxygen-reduced atmosphere around the part during soak cycles. The 24-inch width accommodates a wide range of part sizes, and the 100-foot roll length supports extended production runs without interruption. Facilities running batch furnaces, atmosphere-controlled ovens, or open-air hardening setups will find this roll format practical for day-to-day use.
Designed as a general-purpose heat-treat tool wrap compatible with batch furnaces, box furnaces, and open-air hardening setups where surface protection of steel parts during high-temperature soak cycles is required.
Tool wrap is typically handled by heat-treat technicians or toolroom personnel. Cut the wrap to length using aviation snips or a straight-edge blade, fold it tightly around the workpiece, and crease-seal all open edges to minimize oxygen infiltration during the soak cycle. Allow wrapped assemblies and furnace components to cool to safe handling temperatures before unwrapping. Follow your facility's heat-treat standard operating procedures and applicable safety guidelines when working near high-temperature equipment.
