The POTTER ELECTRIC SIGNAL ud-2000 is a Digital Alarm Communicator Transmitter (DACT) designed for fire alarm and security systems that require monitored communication to a central monitoring station. The ud-2000 supports up to two phone lines and communicates using SIA-DCS or Ademco Contact ID protocols. It automatically monitors each connected phone line for voltage, seizes the line when an alarm event occurs, connects to a remote receiver to transmit the alarm signal, and releases the line once communication is complete. An RJ-11 jack is provided for each phone line, and an RJ-11 to RJ-33 cord is included. Licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage contractors install this device as part of a code-compliant monitoring solution.

The ud-2000 is suited for residential and light commercial fire alarm panel installations where dual-line POTS-based monitoring is required.
