The POTTER ELECTRIC SIGNAL pad100-rm is an addressable relay module designed for use with supervised loop controller (SLC) fire alarm systems. It consumes one SLC loop address and provides one Form C relay contact output, making it a compact and efficient control device for ancillary system switching functions. A single red LED on the face of the module provides status indication at a glance. Under normal polling conditions, the LED flashes each time the control panel queries the device, confirming active communication on the loop. Licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage contractors install this module as part of a larger addressable detection and control system.
The pad100-rm is suited for commercial fire alarm installations where addressable loop devices are required to control auxiliary equipment such as door holders, fans, dampers, or other relay-driven loads. The module mounts directly onto a standard 4-inch square electrical box or a double-gang box, fitting into typical rough-in conditions found in commercial construction and retrofit projects. Its single-address footprint keeps loop capacity available for other detection and notification devices on the same SLC segment.
Designed as an OEM-style addressable relay module for use with compatible SLC-based fire alarm control panels that support this device type. Consult the fire alarm control panel listing documentation to confirm SLC loop compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or low-voltage contractor in accordance with NFPA 72 and all applicable local codes. Before servicing or wiring the module, de-energize the SLC loop at the fire alarm control panel and follow the panel manufacturer's address-setting procedure before mounting. Do not apply power to the loop until all wiring connections are verified and the module is fully seated in its box. Confirm LED poll-flash behavior at the control panel after restoration to verify proper loop communication.
