The POTTER ELECTRIC SIGNAL CO. US AFC-100 is a 100-point addressable fire alarm control panel (FACP) designed for life-safety system applications in commercial and institutional buildings. It serves as the central hub for an addressable fire detection network, monitoring and controlling addressable initiating devices and notification appliances across up to 100 addressable points. The panel processes signals from smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, and other addressable field devices, then drives appropriate alarm, supervisory, or trouble outputs. Installation and commissioning are performed by licensed fire alarm technicians in compliance with NFPA 72.
The AFC-100 is suited for light commercial, mid-size commercial, and institutional occupancies requiring a fully addressable fire alarm system. Typical applications include office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and multi-tenant spaces where individual device identification is required. The 100-point capacity supports moderately sized addressable loops without the complexity or cost of a larger panel platform, making it a practical fit for new construction and retrofit projects that fall within its device count.
Designed as an OEM addressable fire alarm control panel for use with compatible addressable initiating devices and notification appliances rated for this panel platform. Consult the manufacturer product manual for a complete list of compatible addressable field devices and system accessories.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm contractor or technician in accordance with NFPA 72, applicable local codes, and the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Disconnect all power sources, including the primary AC supply and any backup battery, before servicing internal wiring or making field device connections. All conduit, wiring methods, and grounding must conform to NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. A full system functional test is required after installation prior to placing the panel in service.
