The PLATINUM TOOLS 769-1 is a Cat6 shielded keystone coupler designed to create inline connections between two Cat6 patch cables or structured cabling runs. The shielded construction helps maintain signal integrity by reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) in environments where noise is a concern. This coupler snaps into standard keystone-format wall plates, patch panels, or surface-mount boxes, making it a practical solution for extending or completing Cat6 network runs. It is installed by low-voltage technicians and data cabling professionals during new construction, renovation, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
This keystone coupler is suited for both residential and commercial structured cabling installations. It is used wherever a Cat6 inline connection point is needed inside a keystone-compatible wall plate or panel. Typical applications include office network buildouts, server room patch panel assemblies, and home network wiring projects where a shielded coupler is required to meet local interference or code requirements. The unit is sold individually, one piece per package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit component for Cat6 keystone wall plates, patch panels, and surface-mount boxes accepting standard keystone-format inserts.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage or data cabling technicians in accordance with applicable TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Ensure the network is depowered and any connected PoE switches are offline before handling inline connections. The coupler snaps into a standard keystone port without special tools; verify proper seating before closing the wall plate or panel cover. Inspect the shield termination method of the connected cables to maintain a continuous shield path through the coupler.
