The PIP INDUSTRIES B131R/8 is a 13 mil thick, unsupported butyl rubber glove designed for chemical handling in demanding trade and industrial environments. Butyl construction delivers the highest permeation resistance to vapors and gases available in an unsupported glove format. The multi-dip solvent-based manufacturing process builds multiple polymer layers, producing a glove of consistent wall integrity. At 11 inches in length and available in size 8, it is suited for use by industrial hygienists, chemical plant technicians, lab personnel, and safety-critical trades working with highly toxic or reactive substances.

This glove is intended for applications involving direct contact with ketones such as MEK, MIBK, and acetone, as well as esters including tricresyl phosphate, amyl acetate, and ethyl acetate. It also provides strong resistance to ozone, oxidizing chemicals, alcohols, alkalis, hydrogen peroxide, and acids. The soft, flexible butyl compound remains pliable at low temperatures, reducing hand fatigue during extended wear. Custom lengths between 24 inches and 36 inches are available for specialized application requirements.

Installation Notes
