The PIP 9051/L is a cowhide leather welding glove designed for stick welding and general grinding applications. Built from side-split, premium-grade cowhide leather with a cotton lining, this gauntlet-style glove provides heat protection during high-temperature welding operations. The double-reinforced wing thumb adds durability in the area most prone to wear during torch and rod handling. At 13.875 inches overall length, the extended gauntlet cuff shields the wrist and lower forearm from spatter and radiant heat. Sold as a pair in size Large, fitting both men and women. Licensed welders and trade professionals working with stick (SMAW) processes are the primary users.
The 9051/L is suited for residential and commercial welding environments where stick welding and grinding tasks are routine. The gauntlet cuff length makes it appropriate for overhead or positional welding where spatter exposure is increased. General fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and construction welding crews will find this glove applicable to daily use. The uncoated cowhide exterior allows tactile feedback while still providing meaningful heat and abrasion resistance at the weld zone.
Designed for general welding and grinding applications including stick (SMAW) welding processes. Fits size Large hands for both men and women.
Welding gloves are donned and inspected before each use by the welding technician or tradesperson. Inspect the glove for cuts, thinning leather, or lining separation before use, as damaged gloves do not provide rated protection. Always power down or de-energize welding equipment before adjusting work or changing electrodes. Do not use these gloves as electrical insulation — they are not rated for high-voltage dielectric protection.
