The PIP 16-X585/S is a cut-resistant work glove rated ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A5, designed for trade and industrial professionals who handle sharp materials, sheet metal, glass, wire, or other cutting hazards. The glove is constructed from a 13-gauge Polykor Xrystal seamless shell and coated on the palm and fingers with NeoFoam, a foam-dipped coating that provides a secure, flexible grip in dry conditions. The seamless construction reduces internal seam pressure points, improving comfort during extended wear. At 9.3 inches overall length, this pair fits men's small or women's extra-small hands. It meets both ANSI/ISEA and EN 388 standards, making it suitable for domestic and internationally regulated job sites.
These gloves are used in applications where cut protection and dexterity must coexist. Common deployment scenarios include HVAC sheet metal work, electrical conduit handling, light fabrication, plumbing rough-in, and general mechanical maintenance. Cut-resistant gloves are donned and inspected before starting any task involving sharp edges, sheet metal, or cutting tools. Inspect the glove for tears, coating separation, or worn areas before each use — damaged gloves should be replaced immediately. Follow your employer's PPE program and applicable OSHA hand protection requirements (29 CFR 1910.138) when selecting and using cut-resistant gloves. Do not use these gloves as a substitute for cut-resistant sleeves or other PPE where required by a job hazard analysis.
