The PARLEC H63-16ERF630 is an ER16 collet chuck designed for high-speed CNC machining applications. It features an HSK63A hollow taper shank for rigid, repeatable spindle connection and a 6.3-inch projection length that positions the cutting tool away from the spindle face. Collet capacity runs from 0.5 mm (0.0197 inches) to 10 mm (0.3937 inches), covering a wide range of small-diameter tooling. Total Indicator Runout (TIR) is held to 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for precision work where tool concentricity directly affects surface finish and tool life. A licensed machinist or CNC setup technician is the typical end user for this toolholder.
This chuck is well suited for vertical and horizontal machining centers running small-diameter end mills, drills, and reamers in production or job-shop environments. The through-spindle coolant design channels cutting fluid directly through the body and out at the tool tip, which improves chip evacuation and thermal management when working in deep-bore or interrupted-cut conditions. The wrench-actuated ER collet nut is a widely understood clamping system that allows fast tool changes without specialized equipment beyond a standard ER wrench and torque wrench.
Designed for use with ER16 collets in HSK63A-compatible machining center spindles. Accepts any standard ER16 collet within the 0.5 mm to 10 mm capacity range.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or setup technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Use a calibrated torque wrench with the appropriate ER collet nut spanner to achieve proper clamping force without overtightening, which can distort the collet bore. Inspect the HSK taper and spindle bore for contamination or damage before seating the chuck. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator after clamping before returning the machine to cycle.
