The PARLEC ERS25-0187 is an ER25 series collet designed for precision workholding in CNC machining and milling applications. It accepts a 0.1875 inch (3/16 inch) tool shank and features an overall length of 1.338 inches. ER-style collets are the industry standard for tool clamping in collet chucks, providing consistent concentricity and secure grip across a wide range of cutting tools. This collet is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians working with ER25-compatible chuck bodies on CNC mills, manual mills, and machining centers.
The ERS25-0187 is suited for light to medium-duty material removal operations where a 3/16 inch shank tool is required. Typical applications include end milling, drilling, reaming, and tapping in production and job-shop environments. The ER25 collet series is widely used in both vertical and horizontal machining center setups where repeatable tool runout and quick changeover are priorities.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or addition for ER25 collet chucks accepting 0.1875 inch shank tooling. Compatible with any ER25-standard chuck body across CNC and manual machining platforms.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with ER collet chuck systems. Before installing, ensure the chuck body, collet, and clamping nut are clean and free of chips or debris, as contamination affects runout. Insert the collet into the ER25 clamping nut before threading onto the chuck body, and torque the nut with an appropriate ER spanner wrench to the chuck manufacturer's specified value. Do not use impact tools to tighten the clamping nut.
