The PARLEC ER16-0187 is an ER16 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and other rotating toolholding applications. It accepts tool shanks up to 0.187 inches and has a minimum collet capacity of 0.148 inches, providing a usable clamping range suited to small-diameter end mills, drills, and reamers. Overall length measures 1.082 inches with an overall diameter of 0.669 inches. This collet is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in production and job-shop environments where accurate, repeatable tool clamping is required.
The ER16-0187 fits standard ER16 collet chucks and toolholders commonly found on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindle units. It is suited for light to medium cutting operations involving small-diameter tooling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The ER16 form factor is a widely adopted industry standard, making this collet a routine replacement or expansion item for shops already running ER16 toolholding systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard collet for use in ER16-compatible collet chucks and toolholding systems.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Always power down and lock out the spindle drive before changing collets. Seat the collet fully into the nut before threading the nut onto the chuck body, and inspect the collet bore and seating surfaces for chips or wear before use. Torque the collet nut using an appropriate ER collet wrench to ensure consistent clamping force and runout performance.
