The PARLEC C50-18DC6 is a double angle collet chuck designed for precision CNC milling and machining center applications. It accepts DA180 series collets with a capacity range of 0.031 to 0.75 inches, covering a wide variety of tool shank sizes in a single toolholder. The CAT50 taper shank provides rigid, repeatable seating in compatible spindle interfaces. At 6.15 inches of projection and a total overall length of 10.15 inches, this chuck reaches deep setups without sacrificing rigidity. A rated TIR of 0.0004 inches supports tight-tolerance work where runout directly affects surface finish and tool life. Through-spindle coolant delivery is built in, directing fluid to the cutting zone for improved chip evacuation and thermal control.
This toolholder is suited for production and job-shop environments running CAT50-spindle vertical or horizontal machining centers. It is installed and managed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians who need a reliable DA180-style chuck for end mills, drills, reamers, and other straight-shank cutting tools within its collet capacity range. The through-coolant feature makes it particularly well matched to deep-hole drilling and high-speed finishing passes where directed coolant flow is critical to process control.
Designed for use with DA180 series double angle collets on CAT50-spindle machining centers. Accepts collet tooling from 0.031 to 0.75 inches in shank diameter.
Installation and presetting should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle and toolholder taper surfaces are clean and free of chips or burrs before assembly, as contamination directly affects runout and seating accuracy. Torque the retention knob to the machining center manufacturer's specification using a calibrated torque wrench. When using the through-coolant feature, confirm that spindle coolant ports are aligned and that coolant pressure is within the machine tool's rated range before running the spindle.
