The PARLEC C50-12SA4 is a stub-style milling machine arbor designed for use with CAT50 taper spindles on vertical and horizontal milling machines. It features a 1.25-inch arbor diameter and an overall length of 6.5 inches, making it a compact, rigid solution for face milling and shell mill applications. The taper shank provides a secure, repeatable fit in CAT50 toolholders. This arbor ships with three spacers and an arbor nut, giving the technician the hardware needed for a complete setup. Licensed machine tool technicians and CNC setup specialists are the primary installers.
This arbor is suited for production machining environments running CAT50-equipped vertical machining centers and knee mills. The stub style keeps tool projection short, reducing overhang and improving rigidity during heavy face milling passes. With a 4-inch projection and a shoulder-to-nut length of 2.62 inches, it accommodates standard shell mills and face mills that mount to a 1.25-inch pilot bore. It is well-matched to shops running steel, cast iron, and aluminum workpieces where vibration control matters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment arbor for CAT50 taper spindle milling machines using 1.25-inch pilot bore shell mills or face mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machine tool technician or CNC setup specialist. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing the arbor. Ensure the CAT50 taper and spindle bore are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the shank. Torque the drawbar to the machine manufacturer specification found in the machine service manual, not a generic value.
