The PARLEC C40-77TA4C is a tension-compression tapping chuck with a CAT40 taper shank, designed for rigid tapping operations on CNC machining centers. It supports a tap capacity range from M3.5 to M36 (No. 6 to 1-5/8 inches) for standard taps, and 1/16 inch to 1-1/4 inch for pipe taps. The chuck provides up to 0.56 inches of tension float and 0.00 to 0.25 inches of compression float, allowing the chuck to compensate for minor feed-rate discrepancies and protect tap tooling. Through-coolant capability is built in, supporting high-pressure coolant delivery directly to the cutting zone. Projection measures 4.85 inches with a nose diameter of 2.31 inches.
