The PARLEC C40-62SF630-9 is a shrink-fit tool holder adapter designed for CNC machining centers that require high-precision, high-rigidity toolholding. Featuring a CAT40 taper shank, this adapter accepts cutting tools with a 0.625 inch bore diameter and delivers a 6.3 inch projection from gage line. Through-coolant capability routes cutting fluid directly to the tool tip, supporting high-speed and high-feed machining operations. Balanced to 20,000 RPM, it is suited for modern high-speed spindle applications where runout control and balance grade matter. Machinists and CNC setup technicians install this holder as part of the machine-to-tool interface assembly.
This adapter is used in CAT40-spindle vertical and horizontal machining centers across aerospace, automotive, mold and die, and general precision machining environments. The 6.3 inch projection makes it applicable in deep-cavity milling and extended-reach applications where standard-length holders cannot access the workpiece. The 1.97 inch clamping depth provides a secure grip on the cutting tool shank after the induction heat-shrink process. Its through-coolant port supports applications where flood or high-pressure coolant delivery at the cutting zone is required.
Designed as an OEM-style shrink-fit tool holder for CAT40-spindle CNC machining centers requiring a 0.625 inch bore diameter and extended-projection toolholding.
Installation requires an induction shrink-fit heater to expand the bore before inserting the cutting tool shank; never force a tool into a cold holder. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing toolholders. Verify tool stick-out and projection measurements against your programmed tool length offsets before resuming machining. Handle heated holders with insulated gloves and allow the assembly to cool fully before mounting in the spindle.
