The PARLEC C40-20DC3 is a Double Angle collet chuck designed for CNC machining centers requiring precise, high-speed tool holding. Built on a CAT40 taper shank, this chuck accepts DA200 series collets with a clamping capacity range of 0.031 to 0.25 inches, covering a wide range of round shank cutting tools. It delivers a maximum total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0004 inches, making it suitable for applications where concentricity and finish quality are critical. Through-spindle coolant capability routes coolant directly to the cutting edge, supporting longer tool life and chip evacuation in deep-pocket or high-feed operations. The chuck features a 3-inch projection and is installed by qualified CNC machinists and toolroom technicians.
This collet chuck is intended for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with CAT40 spindle interfaces. The DA200 collet series accommodates drills, end mills, and reamers across the full capacity range. A 3-inch projection provides clearance for workpiece features and fixture geometry that require additional reach beyond the spindle face. Through-coolant compatibility makes this chuck well suited for production environments running aggressive feeds and speeds where coolant delivery at the cutting zone is required for thermal management and chip removal.
Designed for use with DA200 series Double Angle collets in CAT40 spindle-interface machining centers. Collet capacity range of 0.031 to 0.25 inches accommodates standard round shank tooling within that range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and all energy sources locked out per applicable safety procedures. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate spanner nut wrench for the DA200 collet nut - do not use substitutes that could damage the nut or collet taper seating surfaces. Verify TIR with a test indicator after seating to confirm the chuck is properly engaged before running. Confirm through-coolant passages are clear and sealed at all connections before operation.
