The PARLEC B40-20DC2 is a double angle collet chuck designed for precision CNC machining applications. Built on a BT40 taper shank, this chuck uses the DA200 collet series to hold cutting tools with diameters ranging from 0.79 mm (0.031 inches) up to 0.250 inches. It delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0004 inches, making it suitable for finishing operations and other work where concentricity matters. The chuck weighs 3 pounds and features a 2.75-inch projection with an overall length of 5.325 inches. Through-spindle coolant capability is built in, keeping cutting zones clear without external coolant lines. Machinists and CNC setup technicians install this chuck in BT40-spindle machining centers.
This collet chuck is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with BT40 spindle interfaces. It suits shops running general milling, drilling, and light reaming where tool changes are frequent and repeatable runout is required. The DA200 double angle collet system is a widely adopted standard in production and job-shop environments. The 2.75-inch projection provides clearance for workpiece features that require reach, while the 1.100-inch nose diameter keeps the chuck profile compact. Through-spindle coolant delivery makes it practical for high-speed cuts where flood coolant alone is insufficient.
Designed for use with DA200-series double angle collets in BT40-spindle CNC machining centers. Accepts collets covering the full DA200 capacity range up to 0.250 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Spindle power must be fully locked out and the machine brought to a complete stop before mounting or removing the chuck. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the correct retention knob for the BT40 interface; do not substitute knob types. Verify TIR with a dial indicator after seating the chuck to confirm runout is within the specified 0.0004-inch tolerance before beginning a cut.
