The PARLEC 40ERNW is a spanner-style wrench designed for tightening and loosening ER40 collet chuck nuts on CNC machining centers, lathes, and milling machines. This dedicated tool provides the mechanical advantage needed to properly seat ER40 collets to the torque levels required for accurate, repeatable toolholding. At 0.5 pounds, the wrench is lightweight enough for bench use and daily tool changes. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators use this wrench as a standard part of their toolholding setup and maintenance workflow.
The 40ERNW is used wherever ER40 collet chucks are part of the machining process. ER40 is one of the larger collet series in common shop use, accommodating a wide range of tool shank diameters. This wrench is appropriate for production machining environments, job shops, and maintenance facilities running equipment with ER40 toolholding systems. It is a direct-fit accessory for ER40 chuck nuts and is not interchangeable with other collet series such as ER32 or ER25.
Designed for use with ER40 series collet chuck nuts. Not compatible with other ER collet series.
Ensure the spindle or chuck body is secured before applying torque to the collet nut. Use the wrench only on properly seated ER40 collet nuts to avoid thread damage. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's recommended torque procedure for the collet size in use. A qualified machinist or toolroom technician should perform collet installation and removal.
