The PARLEC 100PG-0250 is a standard single angle collet in the TG/PG 100 series, designed for precision workholding in CNC machining and toolholding applications. It accepts a 0.25-inch tool shank and delivers a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance milling, drilling, reaming, and tapping operations. The collet measures 1.379 inches in body diameter and 2.375 inches in overall length. Machinists and tool crib technicians install this collet into compatible TG/PG 100 collet chucks to secure cutting tools repeatably and concentrically at the spindle.
This collet is used in production machining environments where consistent tool runout and secure grip are required. Typical applications include vertical and horizontal machining centers running light to medium cutting loads. The TG/PG 100 collet series is a widely adopted standard in job shops and production facilities for general-purpose toolholding across a range of spindle interfaces. The 0.25-inch bore size accommodates standard quarter-inch shank cutting tools including end mills, drill bits, and reamers.
Designed for use with TG/PG 100 series collet chucks that accept standard single angle collets with a 1.379-inch body diameter.
Collet installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or debris before seating the collet. Do not exceed the chuck manufacturer's recommended clamping torque for the collet nut. Verify TIR with a dial indicator after installation before beginning any cut.
