The PARKER XV501P-4 is a standard manual ball valve designed for inline flow control in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping systems. Built with a brass body and brass trim, it handles a maximum working pressure of 600 psi and connects via 1/4 inch male NPT (MNPT) on one end and female NPT (FNPT) on the other. The lever handle allows for quick quarter-turn open and close operation. Reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is used for both the seat and seal materials, providing chemical resistance and a reliable shutoff. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters are the typical installers for this type of valve.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a compact, reliable shutoff is needed on a 1/4 inch NPT line. Common install scenarios include shutoff service on water supply lines, refrigerant-free fluid lines, compressed air lines, and process piping where MNPT x FNPT inline placement is required. Its two-piece brass body construction keeps the assembly compact and straightforward to install in tight spaces.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation manual ball valve for 1/4 inch NPT piping systems in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut off system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any valve. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT threads per local plumbing code requirements. Do not exceed the 600 psi maximum working pressure rating for the system in which this valve is installed.
