The PARKER WC39R30A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. Constructed from acetate cotton with a polypropylene plastic core, this filter delivers a 1-micron rating for fine particulate removal. At 30 inches long and 2.5 inches in outside diameter, it fits standard filter housings used in residential and light commercial water treatment systems. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians install this filter as part of whole-house or point-of-entry filtration assemblies. The string-wound design provides depth filtration, trapping sediment, dirt, rust, and fine particles throughout the filter media rather than only at the surface.
This filter is suited for cold and warm water supply lines where sediment control is required. It operates in systems where incoming water contains suspended solids, sand, silt, or rust particles. The 1-micron rating makes it appropriate for fine filtration stages in multi-stage water treatment setups. Maximum working temperature is 120 degrees F, which limits use to cold and tepid water lines. It is commonly installed in whole-house filter systems, pre-filtration ahead of water softeners, and reverse osmosis pre-filter housings. The polypropylene core provides structural integrity under normal line pressure.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard large-format string-wound cartridge filter housings accepting a 2.5-inch outside diameter, 30-inch length filter cartridge.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Follow all applicable IPC guidelines for potable water system servicing. Do not exceed the 120-degree-F maximum working temperature rating, and verify housing pressure ratings are compatible with line pressure before installation.
