The PARKER WC19R30A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water treatment applications. Built from acetate cotton wound over a polypropylene plastic core, it delivers 10-micron filtration to remove sediment, dirt, and particulate from potable and process water systems. The cartridge measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 30 inches in length, fitting standard filter housings rated for that cartridge size. With a maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F, it is suited for cold and cool water service. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the typical installers in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings.
This filter cartridge is used in inline sediment filtration systems protecting fixtures, appliances, and downstream process equipment. Common applications include pre-filtration ahead of reverse osmosis systems, water softeners, boilers, and commercial foodservice equipment. The 10-micron rating targets visible sediment as well as finer particulate that can foul membranes, valves, and heat exchangers. The acetate cotton construction provides consistent depth filtration across the full length of the cartridge, making it a practical choice wherever a 30-inch string-wound element is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard 2.5-inch outside diameter, 30-inch string-wound filter housings used in residential and commercial plumbing filtration systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing o-ring and replace it if worn or cracked before seating the new cartridge. Follow local plumbing codes, including IPC requirements, for potable water filtration components.
