The PARKER WC19R30 is a string-wound plumbing cartridge filter rated at 10 microns, designed to remove sediment, dirt, and particulate contamination from potable and process water lines. Constructed with an acetate cotton filter media wound over a tinned steel core, it measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 30 inches in length. The string-wound construction provides depth filtration, trapping particles throughout the filter media rather than just on the surface. It is suited for residential and light commercial water filtration housings and is installed by licensed plumbers or qualified water treatment technicians.
This filter cartridge is used in standard 30-inch big blue or equivalent filter housing applications. Typical installations include whole-house sediment pre-filtration, well water systems, irrigation pre-filtration, and light industrial process water lines. The 10-micron rating makes it effective for general sediment removal ahead of softeners, UV systems, or reverse osmosis units. The tinned steel core provides structural integrity under sustained flow and pressure conditions common in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard 30-inch plumbing cartridge filter housings accepting a 2.5-inch outside diameter string-wound cartridge.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear and replace if needed before seating the new cartridge. Follow local plumbing codes, including applicable IPC requirements, when installing or servicing inline filtration assemblies.
