The PARKER WC19R20A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. It measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 20 inches in length, with a 10-micron rating that captures sediment, dirt, and particulate matter from water supplies. The filter body is constructed from acetate cotton with a polypropylene plastic core, providing structural integrity under normal service conditions. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians install this type of filter in standard filter housings as part of point-of-entry or point-of-use water treatment systems. The maximum working temperature is 120 degrees F.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where sediment reduction is required. Typical installations include whole-house prefiltration, irrigation system protection, boiler feed lines, and general water treatment setups. The string-wound construction provides graduated filtration depth, trapping larger particles at the outer layers and finer particles closer to the core. This configuration extends service life compared to surface-only filter media in high-sediment water conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard service filter for residential and commercial cartridge filter housings that accept 2.5 inch OD, 20 inch string-wound filter cartridges.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear and replace if necessary before seating the new cartridge. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F during operation.
