The PARKER WC11R30A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. It measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 30 inches in length, with a 50-micron rating that captures sediment, dirt, and particulate matter from water supply lines. The core is constructed of polypropylene plastic for rigidity, while the filter media is acetate cotton wound in a graduated density pattern. This style of cartridge is a standard item for plumbers and water treatment technicians servicing whole-house filtration systems, commercial water lines, and process water applications.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial potable water systems where sediment reduction at the 50-micron threshold is required. Common install scenarios include pre-filtration ahead of softeners, carbon block filters, or reverse osmosis systems, as well as inline protection for fixtures and equipment sensitive to particulate contamination. The maximum working temperature is 120 degrees F, making it appropriate for cold and ambient-temperature water service lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 2.5-inch inside-diameter, 30-inch filter housings used in residential and commercial plumbing filtration systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure completely before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear and replace it if cracked or flattened before installing the new cartridge. Follow local plumbing code requirements, including IPC guidelines, for filter installations on potable water systems.
