The PARKER VS271AB-6-4 is a brass compression tube male run tee designed for fluid and pneumatic line connections in demanding service environments. Configured with compression x MNPT x compression end connections, this tee allows a branch takeoff from a continuous compression tube run while providing a threaded male NPT port at the branch. The fitting carries a 400 psi maximum working pressure rating and a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for refrigeration, hydraulic, and pneumatic tubing systems. Its brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability for both stationary and mobile equipment installations. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and hydraulic system technicians are the primary installers.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, compressed air lines, hydraulic circuits, and DOT-regulated brake and fuel line applications. The 1/4-18 NPTF thread size conforms to SAE J246 and D.O.T. FMVSS571.106 standards, making it appropriate for on-highway vehicle brake line and fuel system tubing assemblies as well as general industrial fluid conveyance. The male run tee configuration is well suited for in-line branch connections where the main tube run must remain uninterrupted.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for compression tube systems requiring a male run tee with 1/4-18 NPTF thread and DOT and SAE J246 compliance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compression fittings and NPTF thread connections. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Use the appropriate tube cutter and deburring tool to prepare tube ends before seating in the compression fitting; do not use thread sealants on NPTF connections unless confirmed compatible with the system media. Verify that tube outside diameter matches the fitting compression end specification before applying torque.
