The PARKER S19R20A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. It features a polyester string-wound construction over a polypropylene plastic core, rated at 10 micron for effective particulate removal. The cartridge measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 20 inches in length, fitting standard filter housings used across residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The polyester media and polypropylene core meet FDA material grade standards, making this cartridge suitable for potable water and food-adjacent fluid handling. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers of this type of filter.
This cartridge filter is suited for residential and commercial plumbing installations where consistent sediment filtration is required. Typical applications include whole-house pre-filtration, point-of-entry water treatment systems, and process water lines. The 10 micron rating targets sediment, rust, scale, and fine particulates. Maximum working temperature is 120 degrees F, which makes it appropriate for cold and ambient-temperature water supply lines. The FDA-grade materials support use in drinking water and food service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 2.5 inch OD by 20 inch plumbing filter housings used in residential and light commercial water filtration systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the filter housing before removing the spent cartridge. Inspect the housing o-ring for wear or damage and replace as needed before installing the new cartridge. Do not exceed the 120 degrees F maximum working temperature rating.
