The PARKER PT-00324 is a stainless steel flared tube cap designed to seal the open end of a 5/8-inch OD flared tube line. It uses a 37-degree flare end connection to create a leak-tight closure on hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid-transfer tubing. Rated to 5000 psi static working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 1200 degrees F, this cap suits demanding service environments where standard brass or carbon steel fittings are not appropriate. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians install this type of fitting when capping off an active line during service or commissioning a system that is not yet fully connected.
This cap is used in residential and commercial installations where stainless steel construction is required for corrosion resistance, high-temperature exposure, or compatibility with aggressive media. Typical applications include refrigeration and HVAC line sets, hydraulic manifold circuits, and industrial fluid systems. The 37-degree flare angle conforms to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards, making it a direct fit wherever those standards govern tube fitting selection. Each package contains 2 caps.
Designed for use with 5/8-inch OD flared tubing systems conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 37-degree flare standards. Suitable for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer lines where a stainless steel cap fitting is required.
Installation of flared tube fittings should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with hydraulic or fluid-system assembly practices. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing any existing fitting or installing this cap. Use appropriate tube wrenches to avoid distorting the flare seat, and inspect the tube flare for nicks or deformation before assembly. Applicable work should follow ASME, SAE, or plant-specific piping codes as required by the installation environment.
