The PARKER PT-00272 is a stainless steel flared tube male adapter designed for high-pressure fluid and gas line connections in demanding industrial and mechanical systems. It features a 3/8 inch tube OD with a 37-degree flare on one end and a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread on the other, providing a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seat at the flare connection. Rated to 3,300 psi static working pressure and capable of operating across an extreme temperature range from -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, this fitting is built for service in hydraulic, pneumatic, and process piping applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians are the primary installers.
This adapter is suited for residential and commercial mechanical systems where stainless steel corrosion resistance and high-pressure integrity are required. Typical applications include hydraulic power units, compressed gas lines, process fluid systems, and any installation where a flared tube must transition to a NPTF male port. The flare-to-NPTF configuration eliminates the need for additional sealant at the NPTF end when properly engaged. Sold in a package quantity of 2.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for hydraulic and pneumatic systems requiring a 3/8 inch OD flared tube to 1/4-18 NPTF male adapter connection conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or hydraulic technician. Always depressurize and bleed the system before removing or installing fittings. Inspect the flare seat and tube end for damage before assembly, as a compromised flare surface will prevent proper sealing. Refer to SAE J514 torque guidelines and applicable codes such as IPC or IFGC for system-specific installation requirements.
