The PARKER PP6TMC4 is a push-to-connect tube stem adapter designed for quick, tool-free connections in low-pressure fluid and pneumatic systems. Built from polypropylene with a tan finish, it accepts 3/8 inch OD tubing and features a 1/4 inch NPTF threaded end for secure integration into manifolds, valves, or inline components. Rated to 150 psi, this fitting is suited for applications where a reliable seal and fast assembly turnaround are required. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance techs install this type of fitting in refrigeration, water treatment, pneumatic controls, and general fluid distribution lines.
This adapter is commonly used in residential and light commercial systems where polypropylene fittings are specified for compatibility with treated water, mild chemicals, or air lines. The push-to-connect mechanism allows tubing to seat and lock without ferrules or compression nuts, reducing installation time during service calls or new construction. It is appropriate for use in control panels, water purification systems, pneumatic instrumentation, and HVAC accessory lines where 3/8 inch OD tubing terminates at a threaded port.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect adapter for systems using 3/8 inch OD tubing with 1/4 inch NPTF threaded ports in fluid, air, or light pneumatic distribution applications.
Shut off system pressure and bleed any residual pressure before removing or installing fittings. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely with no burrs before inserting into the push-to-connect port to ensure a proper seal. Hand-tighten the NPTF threaded end into the mating port; tapered NPTF threads are self-sealing and generally do not require additional thread sealant, but follow the system manufacturer's recommendations. Verify the tubing is fully seated and the system is leak-free before returning to service.
