The PARKER NV106C-4-4 is a straight needle valve designed for precise flow control in compressed air, refrigeration, and fluid piping systems. Built with a brass body and brass needle, this valve connects a 1/4-inch compression fitting on one end to a 1/4-inch male NPTF pipe thread on the other, making it well suited for transitions between tubing runs and threaded pipe circuits. It carries a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and handles temperatures from -45 degrees F to 250 degrees F. At 1.55 inches overall length and 1.4 inches overall height, it fits in tight spaces. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC-R technicians are the typical installers.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial applications where fine metering of flow is needed at a compression-to-pipe interface. Common install scenarios include instrument lines, gauge isolation, refrigerant service ports, and pneumatic control circuits. The straight body configuration keeps installation straightforward in line runs where a compact, in-line valve is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation needle valve for 1/4-inch compression tube to 1/4-inch male NPTF pipe connections in residential and light commercial fluid and pneumatic piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC-R technician in accordance with applicable local codes and ASME B31 piping standards. De-pressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing the valve. Apply thread sealant rated for the service fluid to the male NPTF threads; do not over-tighten the compression nut, as brass fittings can be damaged by excessive torque. Verify all connections are leak-free before returning the system to service.
