The PARKER MV609-6-4 is a miniature manual ball valve designed for precise flow control in compact piping systems. It features a 3/8-inch by 1/4-inch female NPT (FNPT) inlet and outlet configuration with a full brass body and brass trim. The wedge-style handle provides positive open and close action. Reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seat and seal materials deliver reliable shutoff performance across a working temperature range of 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F and a maximum working pressure of 450 psi (31 bar). Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters typically install this valve in refrigeration, compressed air, and general fluid handling lines.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial applications where space constraints require a reduced-size ball valve. Common install scenarios include instrument isolation, sample lines, small-diameter gas or liquid service, and equipment shutoff points. The FNPT x FNPT end connections accept standard tapered pipe threads, making it straightforward to install inline on copper, steel, or brass piping assemblies without specialized fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball valve for inline shutoff or isolation service on 3/8-inch by 1/4-inch FNPT piping systems in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and compressed air applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Depressurize and drain the line before removing or installing the valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads mating to this valve per standard pipe fitting practice. Do not exceed the rated maximum working pressure or temperature limits marked on the valve specification.
