The PARKER MC225 is a male button shock absorber designed to decelerate and cushion moving loads in light-duty industrial automation and motion control applications. It features a 0.25-inch stainless steel rod diameter, a 0.5-inch stroke length, and a 3/4-16 threaded body with a 0.66-inch outside diameter. The overall installed length is 3.81 inches. The body is constructed from steel with a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance. This unit is installed by maintenance technicians and automation specialists working on pneumatic cylinders, linear actuators, and end-of-stroke damping assemblies.
The MC225 is suited for light industrial automation tasks where consistent end-of-stroke cushioning is required. Typical installations include robotic tooling, pneumatic slide assemblies, and pick-and-place fixtures operating within a temperature range of 32 degrees F to 150 degrees F. The male button style allows direct mounting into threaded receiver plates or actuator end caps without additional hardware in most standard configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shock absorber for light-duty pneumatic and linear motion systems using 3/4-16 threaded male button mount configurations.
Installation is performed by qualified maintenance technicians or automation engineers. De-energize all pneumatic and electrical systems and relieve line pressure before servicing any motion control assembly. Use appropriate thread sealant only if required by the application — do not over-torque the threaded body into the receiver. Verify stroke alignment with the load path to prevent side-loading the rod, which can reduce service life.
