The PARKER KP17672 is a steel 45-degree flared tube elbow fitting designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid power line connections. It features a 37-degree flare angle on the tube end and a 3/8-18 NPTF threaded port, providing a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal without a separate thread sealant. Rated to 5000 psi maximum working pressure and 500 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding service conditions in industrial, mobile hydraulic, and refrigeration piping applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians are the primary installers.
This elbow fitting is used wherever a 45-degree directional change is required in a 5/8-inch OD tubing run. Typical applications include hydraulic power units, fluid transfer lines, compressed air systems, and refrigeration piping that require a compact 45-degree bend with a reliable flare-to-NPTF transition. The Flare x NPTF end configuration allows connection between flared tubing and a standard NPTF-tapped port or component. It is suited for both residential and light commercial mechanical systems as well as industrial machine plumbing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation flared tube fitting for 5/8-inch OD tubing systems using 37-degree flare ends and 3/8-18 NPTF ported components. Conforms to ISO 8434-2, SAE 070302, and SAE J514.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, hydraulic technician, or licensed plumber. De-pressurize and isolate the fluid system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Verify tube end is properly flared to 37 degrees using a calibrated flaring tool before assembly. Inspect the NPTF threads and flare seat for burrs or damage prior to torquing; consult the applicable SAE J514 torque specification table for the fitting size and material.
