The PARKER GTC-2 is a compression tube union designed to create a leak-resistant, inline connection between two lengths of tubing without the need for threads or solder. It uses a compression-style grip mechanism to secure tubing in place, making it suitable for fluid and gas handling systems where a clean, reliable seal is required. Constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) materials, this fitting offers excellent chemical resistance and is well suited for high-purity or corrosive-fluid applications. Licensed plumbers, process piping technicians, and industrial service professionals are the typical installers.
This compression tube union is intended for use with 1/8 inch outside diameter tubing in applications involving aggressive chemicals, high-purity fluids, or corrosive gases. PFA and PTFE construction makes it appropriate for semiconductor fabrication, laboratory fluid systems, chemical processing, and similar environments where metal fittings or standard plastic fittings would degrade. The plastic grip-style compression mechanism allows for straightforward installation without specialized tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/8 inch OD tubing in chemical, high-purity, or industrial fluid handling applications.
Installation is performed by qualified plumbers or process piping technicians following applicable codes such as the IPC. Shut off all fluid or gas flow and depressurize the line before installing or replacing any compression fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely to achieve a proper seal. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as PFA and PTFE components are softer than metal and can deform under excessive force.
