The PARKER GAFS-44 is a compression tube female straight adapter designed for use in fluid and gas handling systems where leak-free, chemically resistant connections are required. Constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), this fitting accepts a 1/4 inch tube outside diameter and provides a reliable straight-run connection to female-threaded ports. The plastic grip-style compression mechanism seats the tube without metal tooling, making it well suited for corrosive media applications in laboratory, chemical processing, semiconductor, and instrumentation environments. Plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and process piping specialists are the typical installers.
This adapter is used wherever a 1/4 inch OD compression tube must terminate into a female-threaded fitting in systems carrying corrosive fluids, high-purity liquids, or aggressive gases. PFA and PTFE construction makes it appropriate for applications where metal fittings would corrode or contaminate the process stream. Typical install scenarios include analytical instrument tubing runs, chemical feed lines, and semiconductor fab fluid systems. The straight configuration simplifies in-line connections in tight plumbing layouts.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 1/4 inch OD tubing in PFA or PTFE-compatible fluid handling and instrumentation systems.
Installation is typically performed by instrumentation technicians or licensed plumbers working on process or analytical piping systems. Shut off flow and depressurize the line before disassembly or installation. Hand-tighten the compression nut until snug, then advance as specified by the fitting manufacturer — do not overtighten plastic compression fittings, as excess torque can crack the body or deform the ferrule seat. Verify the tube is fully inserted and seated before applying system pressure.
