The PARKER E23R10A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and liquid filtration applications. It measures 10 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter, making it a standard-size drop-in replacement for compatible filter housings. The filter media is rayon wound over a polypropylene plastic core, and it carries an FDA material grade rating, making it suitable for systems where food-grade compliance is required. With a 5-micron rating, it captures fine particulate from water and compatible process liquids. Maximum working temperature is 120 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the typical installers.
This cartridge filter is used in residential and light commercial water treatment systems, point-of-entry or point-of-use filter housings, and process water lines where fine sediment removal is required. The 5-micron rating targets fine silt, sand, and suspended solids. Its FDA-grade rayon media and polypropylene core make it appropriate for potable water service as well as certain food and beverage processing lines where regulatory compliance is a priority.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard 10-inch cartridge filter housings accepting a 2.5-inch outside diameter string-wound filter element.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Hand-tighten the housing only — do not use pipe wrenches on the filter bowl unless the housing manufacturer specifically requires it. Follow local plumbing codes and the housing manufacturer guidelines for service intervals and cartridge disposal.
