The PARKER CV-1-1166 is an inline check valve designed for one-directional flow control in fluid and gas piping systems. Built with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) body and PTFE spring, this valve delivers strong chemical resistance across a wide range of media. It connects via female NPT (FNPT) threads on both ends and is rated for 120 WOG (Water, Oil, Gas) service. The 3/8 inch pipe size and compact form factor make it a practical choice for tight plumbing runs. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial piping contractors are the typical installers of this fitting.
This check valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC hydronic systems, chemical handling lines, and compressed air or gas distribution where backflow prevention is required. The PTFE construction makes it appropriate for corrosive or high-purity fluid applications where metal-bodied valves would be unsuitable. Its inline configuration allows direct installation into existing 3/8 inch NPT threaded pipe runs without additional fittings or adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation check valve for 3/8 inch FNPT threaded piping systems rated for 120 WOG service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing any existing valve or fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to NPT connections per local plumbing code requirements. Verify flow direction marking on the valve body before finalizing installation to ensure backflow prevention functions as intended.
