The PARKER A5MES2-MG is a push-to-connect male swivel elbow tube fitting designed to create a 90-degree transition from tubing to a threaded pipe port. Constructed from polyoxymethylene (POM), a high-strength acetal resin, this fitting handles pressures up to 300 psi. The swivel feature allows the threaded end to rotate during installation, reducing the need to torque the tubing assembly and making it easier to achieve a leak-free connection in tight spaces. It accepts 5/16 inch OD tubing on the push-to-connect end and terminates with a 1/8 inch NPTF male thread. Gray in color, it is suitable for pneumatic and fluid transfer lines in trade and industrial environments.
This fitting is used in pneumatic control lines, compressed air distribution, and low-pressure fluid systems found in HVAC equipment, refrigeration controls, and light industrial plumbing. The push-to-connect end allows fast, tool-free tube insertion, making it well suited for service work where speed and access are priorities. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance technicians commonly specify POM fittings of this type in systems where metal corrosion resistance or weight savings are required.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic and fluid transfer systems using 5/16 inch OD tubing and 1/8 inch NPTF male threaded ports.
Depressurize and de-energize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing is cut squarely and deburred before inserting into the push-to-connect end to achieve a proper seal. NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form itself, but confirm system requirements before deciding whether thread sealant is needed. Installation should follow applicable plumbing and pneumatic codes, including IPC and relevant ASME B31 piping guidelines where required.
