The PARKER 8FSC6N-316 is a stainless steel compression tube connector designed to join 1/2-inch OD tubing to a female NPT port using a compression-by-FNPT end connection configuration. Built for demanding fluid and gas line applications, this fitting handles working pressures up to 6300 psi and a temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F. The 3/8-18 NPT thread size provides a secure, leak-resistant seal. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this fitting in high-pressure or high-temperature process lines where stainless steel is required for corrosion resistance or cleanliness.
This connector is suited for residential and commercial instrumentation, process piping, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic lines where tube-to-pipe connections are required. The compression end accepts 1/2-inch OD tubing without welding or brazing, making it practical for field installations and service work. Stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive environments, high-purity applications, and systems subject to extreme temperature cycling.
Designed as an OEM-style compression-to-FNPT connector for 1/2-inch OD tubing systems using 3/8-18 NPT threaded ports in process, instrumentation, or high-pressure plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified instrumentation technician. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tube, then advance with a wrench per standard compression fitting practice — do not overtighten, as this can damage the ferrule and compromise the seal. Follow applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 for process piping as required by the installation type.
