The PARKER 8 JTX-S is a steel flared tube union designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid-power line connections. It joins two tube runs using a 37-degree flare seating angle on all three ports, creating a metal-to-metal seal rated for up to 6,000 psi maximum working pressure. The fitting is constructed from steel and handles temperatures up to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), making it suitable for demanding industrial and mobile equipment plumbing systems. Licensed plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and fluid-power mechanics install this fitting where a secure, leak-resistant union is required in steel tubing circuits.
This fitting is used in hydraulic systems, refrigeration lines, and industrial fluid-power assemblies that call for a 37-degree flare connection. With a tube outside diameter of 0.5 inches and an overall length of 2.5 inches, it fits standard half-inch tubing runs. It is appropriate for both stationary and mobile equipment installations where high-cycle dynamic pressure loads are present. The three-end flare configuration allows inline tube joining without the need for additional fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit union for hydraulic and fluid-power tubing systems using 1/2-inch OD steel tube with 37-degree flare end connections per SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or licensed plumber. Depressurize and fully drain the fluid line before removing any existing fitting. Ensure tube ends are cut square, deburred, and properly flared to the 37-degree angle before assembly. Torque the flare nuts to the values specified in the applicable SAE J514 installation guidelines for the tube size and material in use.
